Country Mahindra & Mahindra, India’s leading automobile company, expanded its electric vehicle portfolio with the launch of two new models on Tuesday. Mahindra unveiled the BE 6e and XEV 9e at a launch event in Chennai. However, both new models will take some time to reach the market. The company claims that deliveries of BE 6e and XEV 9e will begin in February-March next year. While on one hand, the starting ex-showroom price of the BE 6e will be Rs 18.9 lakh, on the other hand, the starting ex-showroom price of the XEV 9e will be Rs 21.9 lakh.

Launch of the XEV 9e with SUV-coupe design

Launched on the ‘INGLO’ platform, this new range marks a new shift in Mahindra’s electric mobility strategy. The ‘INGLO’ platform has been used in both Mahindra SUVs, which is a flat-deck skateboard design. The design aims to increase cabin space by eliminating the central tunnel. The platform integrates high-density battery technology, providing efficiency and range optimization. Keeping in mind the current trend, Mahindra has introduced its XEV 9e model with SUV-coupe design, which will be seen on the roads with aerodynamic wheels.

How many kilometers of range will the Mahindra electric car have on a single charge?

Mahindra & Mahindra CEO Rajesh Jejurikar said that prices for other variants of these two models will be announced later. According to Mahindra & Mahindra, the BE 6e will offer a range of 682 km on a single charge, while the XEV 9e can cover a range of 656 km on a single charge. We tell you that currently the only Mahindra electric car available on the roads is the XUV 400.

Company to invest Rs 12,000 crore in electric vehicle business

Mahindra & Mahindra, world famous for its powerful SUVs, has committed to invest over Rs 12,000 crore in its electric vehicle business. The company is setting up a new electric vehicle manufacturing line at its Chakan plant with an annual installed capacity of 1.2 lakh units.
