For Bangladesh, no batsman could perform well in both innings. Captain Mehdi Hasan Miraj scored the highest score of 45 runs for the team in the second innings. Apart from him, other batsmen failed miserably. On the other hand, Justin Greaves proved to be the West Indies’ greatest hero. He scored a century and scored 115 runs in the first innings. Apart from this, he also took two wickets in the match. He received the Man of the Match award for his excellent performance.
West Indies earned a place in the points table
There has not been much change in the WTC 2023-25 points table due to West Indies winning the match. Before the match, the West Indies team was in last position. It has risen one place to number 8. While the Bangladesh team fell to ninth position. Both teams are out of the race for the WTC final. The West Indies team has played a total of 10 matches so far, of which they have won two and lost 6. Their PCT is 26.67. After Bangladesh, West Indies also have to play a two-Test series against Pakistan.
