Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a big announcement on Tuesday. Netanyahu announced a ceasefire with Hezbollah. Furthermore, the Israeli Prime Minister said under what conditions he signs this agreement and under what circumstances Israel can attack Lebanon again.
Netanyahu said he is willing to reach an agreement with Lebanon, but if Hezbollah commits any violations, he will respond firmly. Netanyahu said he would present the ceasefire agreement to his entire cabinet in the evening.
How long will the ceasefire last?
Netanyahu said that how long this ceasefire will last, how long it will last, depends on what happens in Lebanon. If Hezbollah violates the ceasefire agreement, we will attack. If Hezbollah carries out terrorist activities near the border, we will attack. Netanyahu also said that if Hezbollah launches rockets, we will attack.
He said: “We will implement the agreement and respond firmly to any violations. We will continue to work together until we win.”
Why is there a ceasefire?
Prime Minister Netanyahu explained why there should be a ceasefire now. There are three reasons behind this.

- The third and most important reason for Netanyahu is Hamas. Netanyahu said that Iran and Hezbollah were helping Hamas in the war, now after the ceasefire Hamas will be left alone.
“Put Hezbollah back decades”
As for Hezbollah, Netanyahu said, Hezbollah, which supported Hamas and Iran used to support Hezbollah, is now much weaker than before. Netanyahu said: We have set Hezbollah back decades. We have eliminated their key leaders. We have also destroyed their missiles and rockets. We targeted strategic targets across Lebanon, shaking Beirut to its foundations.

What did you say about Gaza?
Netanyahu said the war will continue until all its objectives are achieved. Until all the people of northern Israel return safely to the country. Referring to Gaza, the Israeli prime minister said that we destroyed Hamas battalions and killed more than 20,000 terrorists. We killed Sinwar and eliminated senior Hamas officials. Netanyahu also said: we have brought our 154 prisoners back to the country. We currently have 101 prisoners in Gaza, whom we will bring back safely.
How many people died?
A war has been going on between Hezbollah and Israel for a year. Lebanon says at least 3,768 people have been killed in the war, most of whom died in the last two months. On the other hand, Israel says that so far 82 soldiers and 47 civilians have been killed in the Hezbollah attack. On the other hand, all of Gaza has been destroyed in the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas. So far, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health, 44,000 people have been killed in this war, while many have been injured.
