100 stone throwers identified: Police

Police said that during the survey in Sambhal, they identified 100 people who pelted stones at the team. All of these people have been identified through CCTV and local surveillance. Police have so far arrested 27 people in the violence case, including two women. Among those detained by police are defendants aged between 14 and 72, who have been charged with serious crimes. In addition, information and photographs of the detained defendants were disseminated in the official group of the District Official’s Office.

People from these areas were involved in stone pelting

Sources say more people from Shahi Jama Masjid, Nakhasa and Hindupura Kheda area participated in the stone-pelting. In this case, more than two dozen people are detained and interrogated. At the same time, police say the families of the four people who died in the violence have also lodged a complaint with the police. On the basis of which the case has been registered.

In an FIR registered in the Sambhal violence case, police accused MP Ziaur Rahman Burke and son of local MLA Suhail Iqbal of instigating people. The police allege that the accused had attacked the police officers with the intention of killing them. Furthermore, in the FIR, the police named MPs Ziaur Rahman and Suhail as accused number one and accused number two.
