Health Minister launches Srijan mobile application
Punjab (Aaj Samaj) News Update, Chandigarh: Punjab Health Minister Dr Balbir Singh highlighted the grave need to address the high perinatal mortality rate in the state and lauded this initiative to ensure standard healthcare for mothers and newborns. The Minister of Health said this.
While Srijan mobile application is launched to provide better care services to newborn babies during delivery.
Giving detailed information about the app, the Health Minister said that it is a state-of-the-art digital platform and aims to enable healthcare providers to provide comprehensive care during pregnancy, childbirth and after birth.
This is how the application will work
Addressing the gathering on this occasion, Dr. Balbir Singh said that this Android-based application will help auxiliary nurse midwives (ANM) and medical officers to track high-risk pregnancies before, during and after the delivery.
He said it would also strengthen the identification, monitoring and management of high-risk pregnancies, ensuring timely and appropriate care. He further said that the application also facilitates continuous care to the beneficiaries from before birth to the delivery period.
Can be connected to these devices
The mobile app can connect to digital devices via Bluetooth, transferring beneficiary parameters directly to the app and requiring no input. He further said that this app helps in making proper decisions by identifying high-risk pregnancies based on vital elements recorded in the app and ANMs. It also helps to prepare the action plan, MCP card and dashboard.
