Passenger from abroad trapped at IGI airport

But still people try to bring gold to India ignoring the rules. Which is illegal and becomes a criminal matter. Which is considered contraband. One such case has come to light at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. There was commotion among the Customs Department officials.
When gold was found in a passenger’s cream container. According to intelligence inputs, a passenger traveling from Riyadh to Delhi was detained by customs officials at Delhi’s IGI airport yesterday. During the investigation, officials noticed some suspicious images on the x-ray. Closer examination of the luggage revealed a silver-colored bar, believed to be gold. Whose total weight was 117 grams. Which was kept hidden in the cream box.

Gold worth Rs 1.5 crore captured at Amritsar airport
Recently, gold worth Rs 1.5 crore was recovered from a passenger coming from abroad at the Shri Guru Ram Dass Ji International Airport in Amritsar, Punjab. When the Customs Department team searched the said passenger, his eyes remained wide open. In reality, this gold was confiscated by the Customs Department from a passenger arriving in Dubai. The surprising thing is that the passenger had hidden this gold in his underwear. But he was caught by Customs on suspicion. Four bags were recovered from the man’s underwear, containing 1,935.14 grams of gold in paste form.
