Bajrang Punia
The country’s star wrestler and acting president of the National Kisan Congress, Bajrang Punia, has been suspended by NADA (National Anti-Doping Agency) for four years. According to NADA, Bajrang Punia refused to take a doping test at his trial on March 10. Previously, on March 23, he was suspended and now the ADDP has suspended him for four years citing Athlete Article 10.3.1. After his suspension, Bajrang Punia launched a scathing attack on NADA and the government.
“If you join the BJP today…”
Bajrang Punia alleged that he was being attacked as part of a conspiracy to raise the voice of farmers and women fighters. Bajrang said, “No matter how many restrictions the government imposes and NADA, we did not bow down before and we will not bow down even now.” He said pressure was also created to join the BJP. If you join BJP today, all restrictions will be removed. He also said that a year ago, NADA officials approached him with an expired kit, which he had protested against.
“Brijbhushan implicated wrestlers in doping”
Bajrang also made serious allegations against former MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, against whom female wrestlers have leveled sexual harassment allegations. Bajrang alleged that Brij Bhushan Sharan implicated women wrestlers in doping and used drug agencies to help them.

Bajrang warned the government, saying it would always support farmers, women wrestlers and other downtrodden sections. He also accused Brij Bhushan of trying to save Sharan and said the government is trying to save him instead of taking action against him. Let us tell you that after this suspension, Bajrang Punia will not be able to participate in any wrestling competition for the next four years.
