Let us tell you that yesterday Eknath Shinde had resigned from his post as Chief Minister. Eknath Shinde along with Deputy CMs Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar met Governor CP Radhakrishnan. The Governor has asked the Shiv Sena leader to remain the acting Chief Minister till the inauguration of the next Chief Minister.
The Mahayuti alliance performed brilliantly in the recent assembly elections, winning 230 of 288 seats. Mahayuti’s constituent BJP won 132 seats, Shinde-led Shiv Sena won 57 seats and Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) won 41 seats.
