(Yamunanagar News) Yamunanagar. Additional Deputy Commissioner Ayush Sinha chaired the District Road Safety Committee meeting at the District Secretariat auditorium on Wednesday. In this meeting, traffic and road rules were discussed in depth and necessary guidelines were given to the officials concerned to reduce road accidents and save lives.

Necessary guidelines given to officials

He said road safety is not only an important issue, but precious lives can also be saved by reducing road accidents. The authorities concerned must ensure that young people do not drive under the influence of drugs and take legal action as per rules to stop all of the above. He said that on roads where construction works are carried out, it must be ensured that the works are carried out correctly and informative signs about the progress of the works must be put up so that drivers are alert in advance.

He instructed all drivers to apply reflective tape to avoid smog accidents. Instructions were also given to mill employees and the truckers union to install reflective tape. He said that we are in sugarcane season and reflective tape should be installed on all sugarcane carts. Apart from this, the RTA and the Police Department are doing the work of installing reflective tape. He said that currently in the district, blinders have been installed at Chhabra Hospital, Santosh Hospital, Lal Dwar and Chaneti Road. Instructions were also given to install blinders near Budiya Chowk and Samta Yoga Ashram.

He directed MC Municipal Corporation to install a circuit breaker on T Point road in Sector-18. Instructions were given to place speed limit signs and reflective tape on power poles and trees. The Additional Deputy Commissioner discussed the safe vehicle policy in the District Road Safety Committee meeting. He said that while a person loses his life due to a road accident, his family also has to face challenges throughout their lives. He instructed officials to identify new black spots and accident-prone places and carry out road repair work with special priority to reduce road accidents.

He ordered the concerned officials to repair traffic lights and repair serviceable street lights on main roads immediately. He gave instructions to install traffic lights at Vishwakarma Chowk. He said officers can become partners in virtue as they perform their daily duties by reducing traffic accidents and saving precious lives. Instructions were also given for presence of traffic police at Kanhaiya Chowk and instructions were also given to install signs saying please drive slowly near Lal Dang on Paonta Sahib Road. Apart from this, many issues related to road safety and road safety were discussed in detail in the meeting.

On this occasion, SDM Radaur Jai Prakash, SDM Bilaspur Jaspal Singh Gill, SDM Chhachhrauli Rohit Kumar, CEO Zilla Parishad Virendra Singh Dhull, CTM Piyush Gupta, Secretary RTA. And Municipal Corporation including District Transport Officer Hartjit Kaur, DSP Kanwaljit Singh, GM Roadways Sanjay Rawal, Executive Engineer Public Works Department (Buildings and Roads) Naveen Khatri, DEO Dharmendra Chaudhary, DIPRO Dr Manoj Kumar, member of State Road Safety Committee Sushil Arya Officers from the police department and other departments were present.
