Manendragarh:Three people, including a school principal and two teachers, were arrested for allegedly gang-raping a minor girl in Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur district of Chhattisgarh. A Forest Department employee was also arrested for helping the accused. According to Indian Express, the accused have been identified as Ravendra Singh Kushwaha, principal of a government primary school. Ashok Kumar Kushwaha and Kushal Singh Parihar are higher secondary school teachers. Banwari Singh is an employee of the forest department.
A student gang raped twice
The girl was allegedly raped twice. The first incident took place on November 15, when the girl was taken to the house of one of the accused and the principal and two teachers allegedly gang-raped her. The defendant warned him not to tell anyone about the incident. The second incident is from November 22. When the victim was heading to a store to buy food, one of the accused allegedly stopped her near a bus stop and threatened her. He took her on his bicycle to the rented house of a forest department employee, where she was allegedly gang-raped again, the Indian Express reported.
Four people arrested after complaint
After the second incident, the girl told her parents, who contacted the local police and filed a report. According to sources, the accused approached the girl, who was studying in another school, on the pretext of guiding her in her studies. Inspector General of Police Ankit Garg said a case of gangrape was registered and four accused were arrested.
The four accused have been prosecuted under sections 70 (2) (group rape of minors), 49 (incitement) and 351 (2) (criminal intimidation) of the BNS, as well as sections 6 (sexual assault with aggravated penetration) and 17 (incitement). ). Action has also been taken against the accused under the POCSO Act.
