Pradosh Vrat 2024: Pradosh fast will be observed on Thursday. Pradosh fast is observed on Trayodashi of both Krishna and Shukla paksha of every month. There is a tradition of worshiping Lord Shankar on the day of Pradosh fast. It is said that whoever worships Bholenath on this day, all his wishes come true. We tell you that Pradosh that falls on different days also receives a different name. Just as the Pradosh that falls on Monday is called Som Pradosh Vrat, similarly the Pradosh that falls on Thursday is called Guru Pradosh Vrat.
Let us tell you that in any Pradosh fast, the Pradosh period has great importance. In Trayodashi Tithi, the first hour of the night, i.e. the evening after sunrise, is called Pradosh Kaal. The person who visits the idol of Shiva with an offering in the first quarter of the night of Trayodashi is freed from all sins. In such a situation, something should be offered to Lord Shiva in the first quarter of the night on the day of Pradosh Vrat. Pradosh Quick Rules
- On the fasting day of Pradosh, definitely offer Belpatra and Dhatura to Lord Shiva.
- Offer fruits and dry fruits to Lord Shiva.
- Chanting Shiv Chalisa and Mantras
- Worship Goddess Parvati with Lord Shiva
- Don’t forget to apply vermilion to Maa Gauri.
- Do not offer vermilion, turmeric and basil in Shivling even by mistake.
