This idea was expressed by Director National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra, Prof. BV Ramanna Reddy expressed this as chief guest at the inauguration of 37th state level Ratnavali Mahotsav organized on the occasion of Haryana Day at Kurukshetra University Auditorium on Friday. Upon reaching Kurukshetra University, Prof. Biwi Ramanna Reddy, special guest of KDB Honorary Secretary Upendra Singhal and Vice Chancellor to the President Prem Dehati, Prof. Somnath Sachdeva and Registrar Prof. Sanjeev Sharma and other officials They welcomed and congratulated him with drums and Haryanvi folk tunes. Welcoming all the guests, Vice Chancellor of Kurukshetra University, Prof. Somnath Sachdeva said that Ratnavali Mahotsav started in 1985 with 8 genres and 300 artists and now this journey with 34 genres and more than 3000 young artists is enriching the culture of Haryanvi in ​​the country and abroad and is also giving a new identity. Kurukshetra University is trying to save the Haryanvi culture, as a result of which work is being done to revive the old genres along with the beginning of other genres including Haryanvi pop songs and orchestra. Kurukshetra University is the only university in the country which was the first to implement the National Education Policy. In the field of sports, Kurukshetra University ranks third in the country and in the field of culture, it ranks first among government universities.

He said Ratnavali Mahotsav has brought many great artists to the country. Great ghazal singer Jagjit Singh, famous artist Yashpal Sharma, Meghna Malik and other great artists have emerged from this platform. Hiti, student of Panipat, Welcome Haryana and students of SD College, Panipat gave a captivating performance of traditional Lur folk dance of Haryana, which was highly appreciated by the audience.

Special Guest President Awardee Prem Dehati, Vice Chancellor of Kurukshetra University, Prof. Expressing his gratitude to Somnath Sachdeva, he said that he can never forget the respect he has given to an artist like him in this festival.
