The passengers were moved by adding another car and the train was dispatched. After this reduction, the train left with a delay of approximately one and a half hours.

According to information, as soon as the train stopped at Mauranipur station, passengers started running away from the coach and railway staff tried to stop the smoke coming out of the coach. Railway staff said smoke was coming out due to a spark in the electrical panel. When the train reached Jhansi, the passengers were shifted to another bogie and then the train was sent.

Udaipur Intercity Express ran from Khajuraho to Udaipur. Meanwhile, dense smoke suddenly started coming out from under the AC coach M-2 near Mauranipur station. Therefore, panic was generated among the passengers. As soon as the train stopped at Mauranipur station, passengers started running away from the coach. Seeing smoke coming from the carriage, the driver and guard gave this information to the control room and station staff. After receiving the information, the station staff controlled the smoke with the help of firefighting equipment. The Mauranipur train remained stopped for about 40 minutes.

Jhansi coach changed

After controlling the smoke, station personnel examined the car. After checking the coach, the train was sent to Jhansi. Where the passengers were transferred by changing coaches in Jhansi. After this incident, the train left with a delay of approximately one and a half hours.
