A human skeleton was recovered from a closed madrassa in Jajmau area of Kanpur district in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, triggering a stir in the area. The skeleton was in a serious state of decomposition, making this case even more mysterious. According to police officials, this skeleton appears to be old and the madrasa was closed for the past few years.
DNA testing of the skeleton will be performed.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Rajesh Srivastava said the skeleton has been sent for investigation by forensic experts and a field unit. He said that a DNA test will be carried out on the skeleton to determine the sex of the deceased. Apart from this, a scientific study of the skeleton will also be carried out, in order to know the cause of death and the age of the deceased.
This skeleton was recovered after his cousin informed the madrassa owner, Hamza. After receiving the information, the lock of the madrasa was broken and the skeleton was recovered. The police are now investigating the matter thoroughly. Other aspects related to this case will be revealed only after investigation.
