PACS elections are being held in Bihar. Meanwhile, the PACS president, who won from Nalanda, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s home district, was injured by gunshot. The incident took place in Maghi Nagma Panchayat of Biharsharif block. Here PACS president Shiv Charan Prasad was shot dead by the opposition. Relatives said that after winning the victory they met with the townspeople. At that time, there was first a fight and then he was shot and wounded.
He came with weapons, attacked the house.
Shiv Charan Prasad was shifted to Sadar Hospital for treatment, from where after primary treatment he was referred to a higher centre. Saraswati Devi, wife of the PACS president, said that after winning, she had gone to Deepnagar market to meet people. After this, as soon as they reached near the house, armed people attacked the house. The son was also beaten with sticks and the newly elected PACS president was shot.
