Owaisi got angry over the Ajmer Sharif case and said, “The law is being broken, the Prime Minister is watching all this silently.”

4pm News Network: A case has been filed in the local court alleging that there is a Shiva temple in the Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chishti in Ajmer, Rajasthan. In this case, the court has notified all parties and set December 20, 2024 for the hearing. AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi has expressed great displeasure over this. Asaduddin Owaisi reacted strongly and said that it is very unfortunate that the law and Constitution are being violated to fulfill the Hindutva agenda and the Prime Minister is watching all this silently.

Asaduddin Owaisi wrote in a post People have followed him for centuries and will continue to do so, Inshallah. Many kings, maharajas and emperors have come and gone, but the city of Khwaja Ajmeri is still inhabited.

Owaisi further said, ‘The Dargah has been there for the last 800 years, from Nehru till now all the Prime Ministers have been sending ‘Chadar’ to the Dargah. PM Modi also sends ‘Chadar’. Why has the BJP-RSS spread this hatred towards mosques and dargahs? Why don’t lower courts know the law on places of worship? In this way, where will the rule of law remain and has democracy ended? This is not in the interest of the country. The Modi and RSS government is weakening the rule of law in the country.

important point

  • The Places of Worship Act 1991 clearly states that the religious identity of any place of worship cannot be changed, nor will these cases be heard in court.
  • It is the legal duty of the courts to implement the 1991 Act.
  • Now Owaisi has targeted the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in this regard.
