DA increase : This news comes as a relief to the government employees and retirees of Haryana. Following the line of the Central Government, the State Government has also increased the Dearness Allowance (DA) of employees and pensioners receiving salaries and pensions under the Fifth and Sixth Pay Commission. DA has increased by 7%. Now employees and pensioners will receive a dearness allowance of 246% instead of 239%.
12% increase in DA
DA has increased by 12%. Now the dearness allowance has increased from 443% to 455%. The DA increase will take effect from July 1, 2024. This means that employees and pensioners will be paid according to the DA increase from July.
This increase in deerness allowance will provide financial relief to government employees and pensioners, especially in the current time of inflation. Since the increased DA payment will be applicable from the above date (July 1, 2024), employees will also receive arrears.
Finance Department Additional Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi has issued orders in this regard. The order is in line with the decision taken by the Central Government on November 15, 2024.
