Some BJP leaders are involved so the Yogi administration cannot do them any harm. There are also some land mafias in Meerut, who are not only challenging the Yogi government based on their vandalism, but also weighing heavily on CM Yogi’s thinking on good governance and freedom from goondaism.

At the police station, the farmers also approached all district officials, but it appears that the district administration has not acted under pressure.

Aggrieved farmers wrote letter to chief secretary

The aggrieved farmers were forced to write a letter to the Chief Secretary of the State on June 24, 2024, in which the Chief Secretary directed the District Magistrate of Meerut and Additional Commissioner of Meerut Division to take cognizance of it. This matter After the order of the Commissioner of Meerut Division, their lands were fenced and walled under police protection, but the land mafia Akhilesh and Ramesh Yadav. The gang broke it by force. The aggrieved farmers again repeatedly appealed to the police and local administration over this, but when nothing happened, fed up farmer Rupesh Pawar filed case number 1293/2021 in the court of Civil Judge (CD), Meerut in the year 2021, due to which, on this basis, on October 27, 2021, the court had issued an order to the agrarian mafia not to seize the lands of said farming family and not interfere.
