On Thursday, on the death anniversary of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule, who dedicated his entire life to the upliftment of the underprivileged, the Youth Awakening and Public Welfare Mission Trust organized a program at Mega Mind Kids School located at Dobi Talab premises. . During this, the death anniversary of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule was celebrated by offering flowers at his portrait.
Mahatma Jyotiba Phule made people aware of social evils like untouchability and dowry system.
The program was chaired by school principal Krishna Saini and principal Manju Sharma and was accompanied by Mahant Balayogi Charandas Maharaj of Hanuman Johri temple located at the Hanuman Dhani premises. Balayogi Charandas Maharaj said that Mahatma Jyotiba Phule raised awareness among people against social evils like untouchability and dowry system and contributed to empowering the society.
He said that the life stories of great men are like a mirror for students, showing them the direction of their lives. It is very important to share lessons, stories and ideas related to the lives of great men in schools.
On this occasion, President of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Charitable Trust, Ramesh Saini and social worker OP Nandwani said that Mahatma Jyotiba Phule fought all her life for the underprivileged, the exploited and women empowerment. The school’s principal, Krishna Saini, and principal Manju Sharma said that people were indifferent towards women’s education, so Jyotiba launched a large-scale movement to free the society from these evils.
