A fire broke out during the torch procession in Khandwa.

An accident occurred during the closing ceremony of the torch procession in Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh. While they were placing the torches, some of them tipped over and a fire broke out. More than 50 people were burned in the accident. He has been admitted to the hospital for treatment. There were more than a thousand torches in the procession. Of them, 200 torches were lit. There was sawdust and camphor dust in the torch, which caused the fire to intensify further. The torchlight procession was organized by Rashtra Bhakta Veer Yuva Manch.

Telangana BJP leader T Raja and West Bengal BJP spokesperson Nazia Khan had participated in the organized anti-terrorism programme. He addressed the program. Hindu leader Ashok Paliwal was leading the programme. An accident occurred during the closing ceremony. After the accident there was a stampede among the people present. Many people have been injured while fleeing.

The fire started when the torches overturned.

The program was organized at Badabam Chowk in Khandwa on Thursday evening. Before the closing ceremony, a torchlight procession took place around 11:00 p.m. There was a lighting program for about 1,000 torches. But only 200 torches could be lit. A torchlight procession took place for half an hour. During the closing ceremony, people started placing torches at Ghantaghar Chowk. Suddenly some torches overturned and caught fire quickly. People were burned due to the sudden increase in flames. After the accident, chaos and stampede ensued.

30 injured arrived at the regional hospital

Once the information was received, a large number of police officers rushed to the scene. Somehow the fire was extinguished. 50 people were injured in the accident. Some of these people were burned by the fire and many were injured due to the stampede. The police admitted everyone to the district hospital for treatment. According to police, 30 people were taken to the regional hospital. In which 12 people were recruited. The rest were discharged after receiving first aid. Among the injured there are also women and children.
