He said that as per the scheme, there is a provision of subsidy of Rs 33,000 for a kilowatt system, Rs 66,000 for 2 kilowatts and Rs 85,000 for 3 kilowatts. He said that under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme, families will benefit from a reduction in electricity bills and will be able to earn additional income by selling surplus electricity to distribution companies.
