A 55-year-old man died in a suspected animal attack in Tikarmafi area of ​​Amethi on Friday. According to police, a man named Jairam Prajapati had gone to the field to graze his buffaloes when an unknown animal attacked him. The incident occurred near Talia Bagh, located behind a government school.

According to eyewitnesses, hearing Jairam’s screams, farmers working in the nearby fields rushed to save him. However, when the farmers reached there, the animal had seriously injured Jayaram and ran away.

According to the news agency report, after the incident, Jayaram’s relatives admitted him to a community health center in Amethi, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Forest department officials were informed about the incident, after which Amethi DFO (Divisional Forest Officer) Ranveer Mishra reached the spot with his team. He said that so far no animal prints have been found at the scene of the incident, so it is not clear which animal attacked. He said the exact cause of death will be known only after the post-mortem report arrives.

There is an atmosphere of fear among the local population after this incident, as there was no news of such an attack in this area before. The Forest Department team has increased patrols in the surrounding areas and villagers have been advised to remain alert.
