According to information, the girl, a resident of Kantarpura village in Rajkheda police station area of Dholpur district in Rajasthan, was living with her maternal grandfather after her father died some time ago. On Sunday, October 20, a teenager committed suicide by hanging at her uncle’s house, angry at her uncle’s reprimand. The uncle had thrown the girl’s body into the Yamuna river.

The girl’s mother, Sinti Devi, and his wife Rambhajan accused younger sister Sarita’s husband, Satyabhan, of murdering their daughter. Body found five days later
SDRF sub-inspector Anupam Kumar searched for the body of the deceased in the Yamuna river at a range of several kilometers for two consecutive days. However, on the fifth day, Friday afternoon, October 25, the body of the deceased teenager was recovered some distance from the spot where it was dumped in the Yamuna River.
Balrai police station in-charge Amit Mishra said the girl’s maternal uncle is in custody and the body has now been found. The body has been sent for autopsy. Only after the report arrives will it be known whether the girl committed suicide or was murdered. Both aspects are being investigated by the police.
