Since this morning a fall has been observed in the stock market (Stock Market Crash). The stock market suffered few losses in initial trading, but gradually this decline intensified and within a short time 10 lakh crore investors disappeared from the market. The maximum decline was observed in Bank Nifty, Small Cap and Mid Cap indices. Nifty Bank had fallen by over 1,100 points, while Sensex fell by 900 points. Apart from this, Nifty fell by around 300 points, trading below 24100.

Investors lose Rs 10 lakh crore!
For a few days now, the Indian stock market has been trading under pressure due to the quarterly results and the continuous withdrawals of foreign investors. Sensex and Nifty are falling every day. Today, mid-cap and small-cap portfolios crashed like a tsunami in the stock market. The market capitalization of companies listed on the BSE decreased by Rs 9.8 lakh crore to Rs 435.1 lakh crore. This means that in just one day the investors’ valuation decreased by approximately Rs 10 lakh crore.

This stock fell approximately 19%.
In the morning, the Sensex opened slightly higher at 80,187.34 points, while its high for the day was 80,253.19. However, when the market closed, the Sensex fell -663 points and closed at 79,402.29. Nifty fell 218.60 points and closed at 24,180.80, which it had opened at 24,418.05 this morning. Of the top 30 stocks on BSE, 20 were falling, while 10 were rising. Indusind Bank shares fell 18.79 per cent to Rs 1,038.

These 12 stocks were destroyed.

  • Shares of Indusind Bank fell 18.79 per cent and closed at Rs 1,038.
  • Shares of Poonawala Fincorp fell 17.19 per cent to Rs 297.
  • Shares of Dixon Technologies closed at Rs 13,937, down 7.43 per cent.
  • Shares of HPCL fell 8 per cent and Patanjali Food also fell 7 per cent.
  • Shares of Chennai Petro Corp, Hindustan Copper and Go Digit fell 6.5 per cent.
  • In the large cap sector, shares of Adani Green Solution and Adani Enterprises had fallen 5.84 per cent.
  • Shares of BPCL and Shriram Finance also closed down around 5 per cent.

Today, 101 stocks touched their 52-week high and 202 stocks touched their 52-week low. Out of 3857 stocks, 606 stocks were trading in green and 3146 stocks were trading in red. Around 105 stocks were unchanged. While the BSE Midcap index fell 872.57 points, the BSE Small Cap index fell 1,343 points to 52,300.

The BSE Consumer Durables index was the biggest loser, falling 2,300 points to 60,604, followed by capital goods and automobile indices, which fell 2,021 points and 1,554 points respectively.
