Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has claimed that some mischievous elements may cause riots during Diwali. CM Mamata has directed police officials to increase security measures. Mamata Banerjee also held a review meeting on Cyclone Dana. Reviewing the situation, Banerjee reiterated her commitment to ensuring communal harmony. Banerjee confirmed one Cyclone Dana-related death in Bengal, while around 2.16 lakh people were evacuated from low-lying areas. Banerjee, who held a review meeting at the state secretariat after spending the night to monitor the situation, directed officials to ensure that relief material reaches all those affected by the cyclone.
