Why are protests happening in Bangladesh?

In fact, recently the President of Bangladesh, Mohammad Shahabuddin, made a statement. He said he did not have any document that could prove that Sheikh Hasina had resigned from the post of Prime Minister before leaving Bangladesh on August 5. After this statement by the President, a debate has now started in Bangladesh whether Sheikh Hasina is still the Prime Minister of Bangladesh constitutionally. People protest against this statement and demand the president’s resignation.
