Islamabad: At least eight people were killed in a suicide attack on a police post in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Saturday. This blast is said to have taken place at Aslam check post in Mir Ali tehsil of North Waziristan tribal district bordering Afghanistan. Sources said the attackers riding three-wheelers attacked the check post and security forces vehicles, killing at least 8 people.

According to the officer, a contingent of soldiers arrived at the scene immediately after the attack and an operation was launched to arrest the attackers. Another officer said 10 soldiers were killed in the attack.
