India-Russia ties: India supported us and stayed away from PAK…Know how Russia proved to be India’s ‘steadfast friend’ – India-Russia relations BRICS Summit in Kazan PM Modi Putin Meets Xi Jinping Agreement between India and China in LAC ntc

The eyes of the world are on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who arrived in the Russian city of Kazan on a two-day visit to attend the BRICS summit. Everyone wants to see what role India plays in reducing the current conflict and tension in the world. Whether it is Israel’s war with Hamas and Hezbollah or the war between Russia and Ukraine, there is a danger that both conflicts will spread further.

To understand why the world is watching India, one has to look at the meeting between Prime Minister Modi and Russian President Putin in Kazan. This bilateral meeting between India and Russia saw a style from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin that will surely make the United States jealous. During the bilateral meeting, Putin said something that made Prime Minister Modi laugh out loud.

PM Modi calls for resolution of Russia-Ukraine war

Boldly, Prime Minister Modi once again not only mentioned the Russia-Ukraine war in front of Putin but also called for peace. He said: “We have been in constant contact on the issue of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.” We believe that problems should only be resolved peacefully. India always tries to prioritize humanity. India is ready to provide all possible help to resolve the conflict in Ukraine and restore peace. Prime Minister Modi spoke for 2 minutes in front of Russian President Vladimir Putin and during that time his major emphasis was on ending the war between Russia and Ukraine.

When Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at the Kazan airport, he was welcomed with laddus, bread and salt. Upon reaching the hotel, Russian artists dressed in Indian costumes welcomed Prime Minister Modi with a cultural performance. Prime Minister Modi and President Putin met around 4 pm. Modi got out of the car, approached Putin and hugged him. After this came the time when Putin said something about India-Russia relations, hearing which Prime Minister Modi burst out laughing. Putin said: “The relations between India and Russia are so close that I think you can understand what I say even without a translator.”

This is Prime Minister Modi’s second visit to Russia in the last three months.

The closeness between India and Russia can be understood from the fact that Prime Minister Modi visited Russia for the second time in the last three months. Previously, when he traveled to Russia in July, he had warned Putin that peace was not possible with bombs, guns and bullets. Shortly after, he also toured Ukraine, where he told President Volodymyr Zelensky: “I told Putin face to face that this is not the time for war.” Hardly any other world leader would have gone to Ukraine and met with Zelensky so soon after meeting Putin in Moscow.

After Hamas and Hezbollah, Israel can also take revenge on Iran for the missile attacks. Here, the presence of North Korean soldiers in Russia has scared the world. Because the entry of North Korean troops from Russia into the war in Ukraine increases the danger of a Third World War. That is why the eyes of the world are fixed on what India is doing to resolve the current conflicts in the BRICS. Relations between India and Russia are based on mutual trust and respect. There have been very few such occasions where there has not been agreement between the two countries on some issue. Despite being separated by thousands of kilometers, the defensive, economic and diplomatic relations between the two countries are very solid.

Russia has never been against Indian interests globally.

At the global level, Russia has never done anything against India’s interests. Be it the 1971 war with Pakistan or the 1999 Kargil war, Russia supported India throughout. Russia is now pivoting rapidly toward Asia. Its dependence on China is increasing, but it does not want to side with China at the expense of India. Another example of friendship is the distance between Russia and Pakistan. Vladimir Putin has visited India many times but has not visited Pakistan till date. Today Russia has become India’s most reliable partner in the fuel and energy sector. For India, friendship with Russia helps create a balance with Western countries, including China and the United States.

Discussion on India’s military diplomatic success against China

How did China, which continues to threaten its neighbors in the South China Sea and is preparing to annex Taiwan, agree to restore the pre-May 2020 situation with India on the Line of Actual Control? Diplomacy and defense expert Sushant Sarin says, ‘India is a country that does not bow down to China’s bullying. As a result of this, Dragon has been forced to normalize the situation on the Line of Actual Control. This military and diplomatic success of India against China is being discussed across the world.

As of April 2020, the Chinese army had invaded at least six places in eastern Ladakh. In response to this, the Indian Army captured those peaks, which were very risky for China from a strategic point of view. Under this pressure, the Chinese army retreated beyond the four places it had invaded two years ago. But for four and a half years the stalemate in Depsang and Demchok has persisted, which now seems resolved after the recent agreement between both countries. However, the crisis of trust towards China still persists.

Agreement between India and China to reduce tension in LAC

India shares a 3,488 kilometer long border with China. India shares its border with China in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh. The India-China border is divided into three sectors: the western sector i.e. Jammu and Kashmir, the middle sector i.e. Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, and the eastern sector i.e. Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh. There is still no complete demarcation between the two countries, because there are differences between the two in many areas. Taking advantage of this, China fraudulently reached the LAC in the name of maneuvering during the Covid pandemic. But India’s retaliation surprised Dragon.

This action by China not only alerted India about the challenge related to the LAC but also inspired it to strengthen the infrastructure in the border area. India focused on rapid infrastructure development across all its international borders. Built roads, heliports and airfields. This worried China and Pakistan. Apart from this, China is also suffering huge economic losses due to the measures taken by India. This has also put pressure on China. Nothing has been mentioned in detail about the recent agreement between India and China. But the truth is that both countries are serious about reducing tension on the border.
