Hyderabad: Fire breaks out at firecracker shop

A heavy fire broke out at a firecracker shop located in Abid, Hyderabad. In a short time the fire took terrible forms and engulfed the entire building. It was fortunate that the people present in the building ran out as soon as the explosion occurred. On receiving the information, the police and fire team reached the spot and brought the fire under control after about three hours of effort. There is no information yet on any victims in this incident. However, relief and rescue efforts continue in the building.

The incident occurred late Sunday night. According to Abid police, this incident took place at a firecracker shop called Paras Fire Work Crackers located in Hanuman Tekdi. This store is located in the middle of a dense population. The purchase of firecrackers has increased here ahead of Diwali. Even on Sunday afternoon there were many people in the store. Meanwhile, an explosion and fire occurred in the store. It was fortunate that all the people present inside and outside the shop fled and informed the police.

Relief and rescue efforts continue

Later, a team of police and firefighters reached the spot and began relief and rescue operations. According to firefighters, the intensity of the fire was so high that it was difficult to even enter the store. In such a situation, the fire team went up to the nearby buildings and started throwing pressurized water. When the flames calmed somewhat, firefighters outside the store went in and brought the fire under control. According to firefighters, the fire was controlled after about 3 hours of effort with the help of three vehicles.

Many vehicles were also burned.

In this incident, not only goods worth thousands of rupees kept inside the shop were burnt to ashes, but many vehicles parked outside the shop were also burnt. According to authorities, the losses in this accident are estimated to be more than Rs 10 lakh. After the accident, police and firefighters began investigating the cause of the accident. It is said that there were no adequate fire prevention measures inside the workshop. Because of this, the fire could not be controlled in time after it broke out.
