Amid the demand of BJP MLAs in Rajasthan to grant ‘Rajyamata’ status to the cow, the state government has taken a big decision regarding the cow dynasty. Bhajanlal’s government has objected to the use of the word “stray” for cows. The government has issued orders to use respectful words instead. In this regard, the Cow Husbandry Department also issued orders for the protection of cows in all government departments of the state late on Sunday night.
In fact, the Cow Husbandry Department of Rajasthan’s Bhajanlal Sharma government has issued an order calling it inappropriate and insulting to call cow progeny “stray.” The government’s Cow Husbandry Department has said it is desirable to use the words “destitute” or “helpless” instead of “stray” for cattle roaming outdoors.

They should be treated like helpless cattle.
Cow Husbandry Department Government Secretary Dr Samit Sharma said cows are an important part of our cultural heritage. Nowadays, due to various reasons, cows become destitute and helpless, and are seen in a helpless state on roads or in public places. For this reason, the word stray is used for these cows, which is completely derogatory and inappropriate. Because it goes against our cultural values and cows that roam freely should not be treated as strays but as destitute and helpless cows.
We tell you that the word stray cow has been used for a long time in the Municipal Corporations and Municipal Councils, for which now the Vaccine Livestock Department has issued guidelines. In such a situation, in future the words destitute and helpless cows will be used instead of stray cows.
