Today, 22 October 2024, challans were issued to 15 heavy vehicles and so far challans have been issued to 36,364 heavy vehicles in the last 825 days. The Superintendent of Police, Ambala had instructed the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Ambala Traffic and the Traffic Manager, Police Station that as per Part 5 of Section 4 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 2017, he will ensure that All heavy vehicles and vehicles with speed restrictions move in the left lane. within the prescribed speed limit, so that road safety can be ensured and that no driver has any difficulties while overtaking and traffic accidents can be avoided.
If any driver violates the rules of Part 5 of Section 4 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 2017 by not following the speed limit and driving in the left lane, then he must be reprimanded.
