Kazan: Russian President Vladimir Putin hosted Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a dinner organized for BRICS leaders on Tuesday evening. On the occasion, both leaders were seen shaking hands affectionately. During the dinner, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also seen enjoying a music concert with other leaders. We told you that Chinese President Xi Jinping was also seen at the dinner. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Xi Jinping will also meet on Wednesday. Earlier, during his conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the conflict between Russia and Ukraine must be resolved peacefully. He said India is ready to provide all possible cooperation to resolve this war peacefully. Prime Minister Modi held bilateral talks with Putin hours after his arrival in the Russian city of Kazan to attend the 16th BRICS summit. In his televised opening remarks, he told Putin that India “fully supports” the early restoration of peace and stability in the region.
This is PM Modi’s second visit to Russia in three months.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi also said that his second visit to Russia in the last three months reflects the “close” coordination and deep trust between the two countries. He said: ‘We are in constant contact on the issue of the current conflict between Russia and Ukraine. As I said before, we believe that problems should be resolved peacefully. We fully support the early restoration of peace and stability. All our efforts prioritize humanity. India is ready to provide all possible support in the times to come.
