Before Diwali, smugglers had become active in the country and these smugglers are not smuggling gold and silver but mangoes. Police stopped a truck of ripe mangoes in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh. This truck was loaded with 42 quintals of Chinese mangoes, the value of which is said to be around Rs 16 lakh. The UP police said 260 cartons of illegal Chinese mangoes have been recovered. All departments have been informed of this and additional measures are being taken. The police also said that the mangoes were being taken to Delhi and each loaded box weighed 16 kg.

Police in Nanpara in Bahraich district have intercepted a consignment of ripe mangoes sent from China to Delhi via Nepal. Truck number UP 40 AT 1525 is said to have been heading from Nepal towards Delhi. When the police searched the vehicle, they found a large consignment of ripe mangoes in the vehicle. The truck driver said that these mangoes were being taken to Delhi, but when he was asked for documents related to the mangoes, no document was found with the driver. The police later confiscated the vehicle loaded with ripe mangoes.

The Nanpara police team has captured a truck loaded with Chinese mangoes near the Hada Bashari canal of Kotwali Nanpara, about 20 kilometers from the Nepal border.

Nanpara inspector Pradeep Singh said action is being taken as there is no document related to the mango. Senior officials have been informed. Police said Bahraich Superintendent of Police Vrinda Shukla ordered checks to stop crime and maintain peace. For this reason, all vehicles were being inspected. Meanwhile, a truck loaded with mangoes from abroad has been seized. The driver of the vehicle, Siraj Ahmed, is a resident of Bahraich.
