The district administration is on high alert to conduct the by-elections in Katehari assembly seat of Ambedkar Nagar in a peaceful and fear-free environment. Katehari assembly constituency includes four police station areas namely Bhiti, Ahiroli, Mahrua and Ibrahimpur. Police and paramilitary forces held flag marches in these areas and ensured the safety of the local population. There are 184 sensitive and 15 hypersensitive booths in Katehari Assembly constituency.

SO Srinivas Pandey of Ibrahimpur Police Station in Katehri area held flag marches in many villages and markets in his area along with police and paramilitary forces. Police and paramilitary forces held a flag march at Iltifatganj, Kedarnagar and Hardiha under Ibrahimpur police station area. He assured local voters that strict action will be taken against those who commit irregularities during the electoral process and on the day of voting. Along with this, a strong message was also given to the anarchists who try to spread any kind of violence and anarchy during the elections: if any attempt is made to create any disturbance during the elections, those anarchists will not be spared at any cost. .

Ahirauli SO also held a flag march with paramilitary force

Ahirauli police station in-charge Sunil Kumar Pandey also marched on foot with a strong police force and paramilitary forces in Katehri Bazaar, Shravan area, Annawan, Baijpur, Yadav Nagar, Mijhaura, Parasrampur and Chachikpur. In addition to this, he assured people of security and peaceful voting by visiting sensitive and vulnerable posts. During this time, the in-charge of Ahirauli police station also warned the anarchists in the police station area that if anyone tried to spread anarchy in the elections, strictest action would be taken against them.
