Problem again stuck on Diwali date, Kashi scholars said: November 1 is an auspicious date, they gave this reason

There seems to be a dilemma once again as to when to celebrate Diwali on October 31 or November 1. These questions had also been raised earlier but Kashi Vidvat Parishad had said that Diwali would be celebrated on October 31. But now Girvanvagvardhini Sabha and Vedic Siddhant Sanrakshini Sabha, based at Sangveda Vidyalaya, have called for celebrating Diwali on November 1 after studying almanacs across the country.

Pandit Visheshwar Shastri said that according to Hrishikesh Panchang, Diwali will be celebrated on October 31. At the same time, according to Ganesh Apa Panchang, Daksiddha Panchang published by MM Shrimad Bapudev Shastri, the day of November 1 is 27 hours and 40 seconds. Amavasya is 30 Ghati 25 Pal. According to the calendar and the tithiman of the calendar, Lakshmi Pujan will take place on November 1st. According to Sri Venkateswara Shatabdi Panchang, 1st November is 27 Ghati 23 Pal. On that day Amavasya has 29 Ghatis 32 Pal. According to this, Lakshmi Puja will take place on November 1.

When to celebrate Diwali? Pandit Ganeshwar Shastri said

Scholar Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid, who was Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s proponent in the Lok Sabha elections and determined the auspicious time for the consecration of Ram Lalla at the Ayodhya Ram temple, asked the Kashi Vidvat Parishad to reconsider the decision to celebrate Diwali on October 31. Ganeshwar Shastri said that of the five major almanacs, three talk about celebrating Diwali on November 1. Pradosh is also observed on Udaya Tithi on November 1 and Amavasya is also observed after sunset. Along with this, Swati Nakshatra and Pratipada are available, which are best for Mahalakshmi worship.

What did Kashi Vidvat Parishad say?

National General Secretary of Kashi Vidvat Parishad, Prof. Ramnarayan Dwivedi had said that the date of celebration of Diwali was discussed in Kashi Vidvat Parishad. According to the calendar, the scholars decided that Diwali should be celebrated on October 31 only. At the same time, according to famous Ujjain astrologer Pt. Anandshankar Vyas, it is best to celebrate Diwali on October 31 this year. The 31st day is Amavasya, so Diwali should be celebrated on this day. However, the coincidence is also on November 1st, but on that day Amavasya Tithi is only till 5 pm, so Diwali should be celebrated on the 31st.
