The Allahabad High Court has ordered to verify the virility of the young man who called his late wife infertile. This order was issued in the court of Justice Shekhar Kumar Yadav on the bail petition filed on behalf of Moni alias Monu. In fact, to obtain bail, the young petitioner had described his wife as infertile, who had committed suicide. In this regard, the court made a harsh comment saying that the reason for not having a child is not always the wife, but also the husband. Therefore, the potency of the husband must be checked.
Actually, the matter concerns Garhmukteshwar police station area of Hapur where the petitioner is lodged in Hapur jail on charges of harassing his wife for demanding dowry and instigating her to commit suicide. He had filed a bail petition before the High Court seeking his release. During the hearing, the petitioner had argued that his wife was upset about not having a child and was depressed due to which she had committed suicide.
The virility test of the accused must be carried out within 10 days.
The court was not satisfied with this argument and ordered the government to conduct the virility test of the petitioner and submit the report within 10 days to verify its authenticity. Now the next hearing of this case will be held on November 12.
