That meeting will be held today in Russia, on which the eyes of the world are fixed… After 5 years, Jinping and Prime Minister Modi will be at the same table – Bilateral meeting of Prime Minister Modi and Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in Kazan, Russia ntc

A historic meeting will be held today in the Russian city of Kazan, on which the eyes of the entire world, including the United States, are focused. At this meeting, the heads of state of two giant Asian countries will sit at the same table and hold formal talks after five years.

In fact, a bilateral meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping will be held today. This meeting is special in many ways amidst the current turmoil around the world and wars going on in different countries. Jinping and Prime Minister Modi had previously clashed at the BRICS summit held in Brazil in 2019 and now both leaders will meet again during the BRICS summit in 2024.

Chancellor confirmed the meeting

At a press conference in the Russian city of Kazan, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri confirmed bilateral talks to be held between the two leaders. Misri said that this meeting between the two heads of state will take place on October 23 on the occasion of the BRICS summit. However, the time will be decided only on Wednesday.

Five Eyes will get a tough answer

Canada has been continuously making baseless allegations against India for the past few days, in which many Five Eyes countries, including the United States, have also taken its side. This meeting between Jinping and Prime Minister Modi is also seen as a strong response against the Five Eyes Group. Let us tell you that if relations with China improve, then India’s dependence on better relations with Western countries will be greatly reduced.

Both countries began patrolling.

This meeting is being held today between the two countries after a new agreement was reached between India and China on patrolling on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh. Foreign Secretary Vikram Mistry said in a statement that at the LAC in eastern Ladakh, India and China have agreed to withdraw their forces from Demchowk and Depsang and resume patrols in the area as before. He said the armies of both countries have started patrolling and the process of troop withdrawal will also begin in the coming days.

They will work together to reach an agreement: China

China on Tuesday also confirmed the military agreement with India to reduce tension on the LAC. China’s foreign ministry spokesperson had said: “A proposal on relevant issues has been reached and we will work together with New Delhi to implement these proposals.”

Tension that has lasted for 4 years

This standoff between the Indian and Chinese armies has been going on since May 2020 and the border dispute is yet to be fully resolved. However, both sides have retreated from many flashpoints. Let us tell you that on June 15 and 16, 2020, soldiers from India and China came face to face in the Galwan Valley of Eastern Ladakh. There was a violent clash between both sides, in which 20 Indian soldiers were martyred, while more than 40 Chinese soldiers were also killed. However, the People’s Liberation Army has not officially confirmed the deaths of its soldiers to date.

There was a dispute between Demchowk and Depsang.

After the Galwan clash incident, tension on the Line of Actual Control had increased significantly. Both countries had deployed a large number of troops in LSI and patrols were suspended. The two main conflict points were Demchowk and Depsang.
