Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini participated in the state-level Ratnavali Mahotsav in Kurukshetra.
More than 3 thousand students are demonstrating their talent in 34 disciplines.
Ratnawali Mahotsav (Today’s Society) Chandigarh: Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said Kurukshetra University’s Ratnavali Mahotsav is a wonderful confluence to connect the young generation with songs, music, art and culture of the state. The state of Haryana has always been an important center of timeless tradition of knowledge, prosperity and bravery of warriors. There is evidence of the cultural richness of this region since the Vedic period. Ratnavali Mahotsav works to preserve the culture and rituals of this Vedic period. The role of this festival is very important in the cultural development journey of Haryana. The Chief Minister today addressed the four-day state meet Ratnavali Mahotsav organized at Kurukshetra University auditorium.
Prior to this, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, former minister Subhash Sudha, Vice Chancellor Prof. Somnath Sachdeva also visited the craft fair. He said Ratnavali Mahotsav is playing a significant role in reviving Haryanvi folk culture and inculcating a sense of pride in their great heritage among young students. This is a wonderful confluence of literature, music and art.
Ratnavali Festival started in 1985.
On this occasion, Vice Chancellor of Kurukshetra University, Prof. Somnath Sachdeva, expressing his gratitude to the Chief Minister and other guests, said that Ratnavali Mahotsav was started in the year 1985 with 8 genres and 300 artists. Today, more than 3,000 students showcase their talents in 34 genres on the stage of this festival. This university is moving ahead with the objective of making students self-sufficient and self-sufficient. This university is the first government university in the state to have an A-plus-plus rating. This university ranks third in the country in education, research and sports, third among 1,100 universities in cultural activities, and first among 500 state universities.
