4 p.m. News Network
Chennai. The first conference of famous actor Vijay’s Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) party was held at Vikravandi V Salai village in Villupuram district of Tamil Nadu. In it, party chief and actor Dalpati Vijay shared his views on entering the political field. During this, he also targeted the Tamil Nadu government. Dalpati Vijay said that politics is not a movie field but a battleground. This will be serious.
Only if we decide to approach it seriously and with a little humor will we be able to survive in this field and face the adversaries. We have to be careful in the field.
Dalpati Vijay said that we are not going to separate Dravidian nationalism and Tamil nationalism. They are the two eyes of this ground. We don’t have to limit ourselves to any specific identity. Our ideology is secular and social justice. We are going to work on that basis. After reading the failures and successes in politics, I have left my career at the top and have arrived as your victory, trusting in all of you.

The state government is anti-popular

The TVK chief said that in Tamil Nadu a group sings the same song. Whoever comes here to do politics is giving it a specific color and is deceiving the people. In the name of Dravidian model, they are doing underhanded business and cheating people. Here there is an anti-popular government.

Preparations to contest the assembly elections in 2026

Notably, after entering politics, actor Vijay announced the name of his party Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) in February this year. It had recently launched its flag and electoral symbol. He then said that the Election Commission of India has officially registered Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam as a political party. Furthermore, the Election Commission has given permission to his party to participate in electoral politics as a registered political party.
