Gas chamber built in Delhi before Diwali
New Delhi: Air pollution increased further in Delhi on Wednesday. The poisonous air has covered entire Delhi. Delhi has now completely transformed into a gas chamber. The air quality index (AQI) has crossed 400 in many areas of the national capital, Delhi. On Wednesday morning, the ICA was recorded at 414 in Jahangirpuri, 403 in Anand Vihar and 400 in Najafgarh. An AQI of 400 or higher remains in the severe category. This means that air pollution has reached serious category in many areas of Delhi. With this, AQI has crossed 300 in most areas of Delhi. In many places the ICA is recorded above 350.
A thick blanket of smog covers Delhi
Even this morning there is a thick blanket of smog in Delhi. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the overall air quality index of Delhi was recorded at 349. While on Tuesday it was 318. While on Monday it was at 310. From this it can be deduced that the level Pollution in Delhi is increasing continuously.

Metro and buses will now make more trips in Delhi
In view of the increasing pollution in Delhi, the Delhi government has increased the number of personnel to spray water at different places by 6,000. Metro will make 40 more trips starting today. Now only DTC buses will run more. The Delhi government has also written a letter to neighboring states asking for implementation of grape norms in NCR.
There were also bad conditions in Delhi on Tuesday.
Early on Tuesday morning, there was a thick layer of smog in Delhi and the city’s air quality deteriorated further into the very poor category. In many areas including Mundka, Bawana, Wazirpur, Jahangirpuri, Anand Vihar, Alipur, Ashok Vihar, Aya Nagar, Burari, Dwarka and Mandir Marg, the air quality is falling to very poor category.
We tell you that an AQI between zero to 50 is considered good, 51 to 100 is considered satisfactory, 101 to 200 is moderate, 201 to 300 is considered bad, 301 to 400 is considered very bad and 401 to 500 is considered severe.
