On the day of Diwali festival i.e. 31st October 2024, Lucknow Metro train services will be available from 06:00 am to 07:00 pm Metro train services from both terminal stations i.e. , CCS Airport and Munshipulia Metro Station, will start at 06:00 am (morning) and the last train will leave at 07:00 pm (afternoon). This change in the timing of services will be for Diwali day only. On other days, the metro service will operate normally from 6:00 a.m. and will continue until 10:00 p.m.

Flying kites along the metro corridor not only causes damage to metro services but sometimes also disrupts power supply. Flying kites with Chinese and metallic strings also poses a threat to the lives of those who fly them.
Damaging metro property by flying kites around the metro corridor is a punishable offense. Under sections 78 and 82 of Chapter 11 (Crime and Punishment) of the Metro Railway Act 2017, there is a provision of 10 years imprisonment and warrantless arrest for causing damage to Metro property.
The overhead power cable of the metro, i.e. the OHE line, supplies electricity of 25 thousand volts or a voltage of 25 kV. Flying a kite with a metal string or a kite stuck near it can cause an electric shock to the kite flyer and this can be fatal.
