Police have arrested another accused in the UP theft case in Sultanpur. His name is Ankit Yadav alias Shekhar. Ankit was absconding after a jewelery shop robbery on August 28. The police had announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh for him. He has now been arrested from Prayagraj’s Chhivki railway station.
Police recovered 755 grams of silver jewelery and Rs 2,800 in cash from arrested Ankit Yadav. More than 90% of the looted assets have been recovered from the accused arrested earlier. However, accused Furkan and Arbaaz, who are receiving a reward of Rs 1 lakh, are still absconding in this case.
Police said that on August 28, a robbery incident took place at a jewelry store in Sultanpur Kotwali Nagar area. in this regard
The case was registered in. Police quickly discovered the incident and recovered the looted goods. In this incident, a total of 12 names of people were revealed, of which 9 people were found. Two miscreants (Mangesh Yadav and Anuj Pratap Singh) have been murdered.
Late in the afternoon of October 28, Ankit Yadav, a criminal carrying a reward of Rs 1 lakh, was arrested by the STF from Chhivki (Prayagraj) railway station in connection with this incident. After arresting Ankit, he was taken to Sultanpur police station. 755 grams of silver and Rs 2,800 in cash were recovered. Currently, accused Ankit Yadav is being sent to jail. Necessary legal proceedings are being carried out on the matter.
It is learned that Ankit Yadav alias Shekhar, who was carrying a reward of Rs 1 lakh, was among the five miscreants who entered the house of a bullion businessman and committed a robbery. He is a resident of Pratapgarh. So far five cases have been registered against him. In which 2 cases are recorded in Sultanpur, 2 cases in Pratapgarh and 1 case in Jaunpur. A case has been registered against Ankit under sections of assault, vandalism, murderous assault and involvement in robbery in Sultanpur.
