Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday gave many gifts to pregnant women and newborns on the occasion of Ghanteras. The Prime Minister inaugurated several government schemes related to the health sector costing over Rs 12,850 crore and also announced that he would extend their benefits to the common man. A government portal has also been launched to make healthcare facilities better and more convenient and promote digitalization.
The Prime Minister also launched the U-Win portal. Through this portal, data on all vaccines administered to pregnant women and newborns can be maintained in one place. In this portal there will be the vaccination record of each child from newborn to 17 years of age. This portal will help ensure that all necessary vaccines are received on time.
Vaccination records will be maintained
Vaccinations covered on the U-WIN portal will include records of all vaccinations, such as measles, rubella, diphtheria, pneumococcal pneumonia, meningitis and pneumonia caused by Haemophilus influenzae type B, whooping cough, polio, rotavirus diarrhea and hepatitis B. In some districts of India will also be administered the Japanese encephalitis vaccine. This portal has been developed based on the COVID-19 Co-WIN vaccine management system. By registering on this portal, you will also have all the details of your vaccination and that of your child. Apart from this, along with the vaccination, the details of the vaccination date and the next scheduled date will also be available.
How will this portal work?
Records of each vaccination program will be maintained on the U-WIN portal. In this you will receive the certificate of any vaccination carried out digitally through QR scanning. You can access and download this certificate from anywhere. For this, it will be mandatory for you to register on this portal through the U-Win portal or the mobile application.
Separate vaccinations will be scheduled through the portal.
With the help of the UWin portal, you will also be able to select the vaccination center of your choice near you. With their help you will also be able to schedule your next vaccination appointment. Once you register on this portal, this portal will also send you an alert via SMS about the next appointment or pending vaccination, so that your child does not miss any vaccinations.
