With this belief, devotees from India and abroad come in large numbers for Dhanteras at the Maa Annapurna temple located near the Baba Shri Kashi Vishwanath temple. While in the name of the temple, the treasures of Mother Annapurna are distributed among the devotees in the form of Prasad. Mahant Shankarpuri of the temple said that 6 lakh 50 thousand coins were distributed among the devotees on the day of Dhanteras in Kashi.
