The case of murder of businessman Ekta Gupta’s wife by gym trainer Vimal in Kanpur, UP is yet to be solved, the exploits of another gym trainer have come to light. Just like in the case of Ekta’s murder, the negligence of the police has also been exposed in this case. It was only when the High Court took cognizance of the victim’s complaint that the police swung into action.
Actually, in this matter, the police had registered a case against a gym trainer named Arjun Singh about a year and a half ago, but did not arrest him. Now the High Court took cognizance of this and directed the Kanpur Police Commissioner to file an affidavit. Following the court order, the police swung into action and immediately arrested the accused.
Let us tell you that this case is related to an undergraduate student living in Fazalganj area of Kanpur. According to the victim student, three years ago, when she was studying in class 11 and was going to a gym in Fazalganj, coach Arjun Singh contacted her and asked for her mobile number. When he refused, he paid Rs 20,000 to the gym operator, got his number and started pressuring him to meet him.
According to the victim, trainer Arjun at the gym started giving her intoxicating powder in the name of a protein shake, due to which she became addicted to it. Then Arjun gave him a special type of injection, which is used during horse racing. When she became unconscious while drunk, he abused her and began threatening to make a video go viral.
The student victim said that gymnastics coach Arjun Singh held her hostage for several months. He also incited suicide, so that a case of suicide could be filed. At the same time, when the parents went to report to the police, they were ignored. With the help of neighbors, the family rescued him and somehow lodged a complaint at the police station. But despite this, Arjun was not arrested. He is the son of a person with access.
However, when the news reached the media, the police transferred the investigation to the Swaroop Nagar police station. No action has been taken against Arjun yet. Faced with this situation, upset by the negligence and delay of the police, the victim appealed to the High Court. Following strict orders from the court, charges were filed and finally on Monday the police arrested Arjun Singh.
