Following the complaint lodged by the villagers of Dahaula village yesterday regarding the problem of drinking water in the village, the team of department district advisor Randhir Matanay, junior engineer Hiteshwar and block coordinator Ishwar Singh visited the village and inspected the drinking water supply and said that all houses Dahaula Pure drinking water will be available.

On this occasion, residents of Durga Patti, Jhimar Mohalla, Kisali Mohalla and Dargah Darwaza Mohalla said that the village has a population of around 8,500 and there are around 3,500 houses. Drinking water in the village is supplied from the water house and the well installed in it. Apart from this, the department has also installed two more tubewells in the village. Of these, the water in one of the tube wells, which runs at about 450 feet, has begun to gradually decline. Due to low water pressure, in recent days the supply of drinking water in these locations is not sufficient. So they face problems.

Scores of villagers, including villagers Satbir, Dharmbir, Balbir, Omprakash, Shakti Sharma, Sanjay, Ramphal, Sunil, Rajkumar and Roshan, said that they had met department officials over the drinking water issue a few days ago. After which Sub-Divisional Engineer Ranveer Singh and Junior Engineer Hiteshwar visited the village and after hearing their real problem, they ensured to install a new tubewell near the temple so that their problem could be solved.

The villagers also contacted state advisor Laxmikant Bhatia over phone and informed him about their problems.

After hearing the problems of the villagers, the state advisor said that they should bring a proposal for a new tube well under the GPDP in the next Gram Sabha. On this occasion, district assessor Randhir Matana and block coordinator Ishwar Singh, while inspecting the drinking water supply in the village, told the consumers that houses where there are drinking water taps should cover the taps with adhesive tape. This will prevent wastage of water and drinking water can be supplied to other houses.
