Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Ambedkar Nagar for three days for the by-elections to be held in Katehri seat. In addition, one or two ministers of the state government visit the constituency every day. The Katehari by-election is very important for the BJP and the SP. This is why SP National General Secretary Shivpal Yadav and Deputy CM Brijesh Pathak addressed the public meeting at the same venue. However, these leaders of both parties did not go to nominate their candidates.
SP showed strength
On the nomination day of Samajwadi Party candidate Shobhavati Verma from Katehri, the party’s national general secretary Shivpal Singh Yadav showed strength by addressing the gathering along with Basti MP Ram Prasad Chaudhary as well as many leaders of the SP, including Azamgarh Ayodhya Sultanpur.
In his speech, Shivpal threatened the district officials in a warning tone and said that if any official tries to create disturbances in the by-elections or harasses the SP leaders and workers in any way, then write the name of that official with red ink on save it. In the year 2027, when the SP government is formed in the state, these officials will be held accountable.
