On October 30, Depotsav day, a one-litre mustard bottle will be made available to fill the lamps with oil. Volunteers will carefully pour oil into 28 lakh lamps. Special care will be taken to ensure that no oil falls on the ghat.

28 lakh lamps decorated on 55 ghats

The university administration completed the decoration work of 28 lakh lamps at 55 ghats of Saryu. For its preparations, the university has deployed a huge team of over two thousand people along with supervisors, ghat in-charge and a considerable number of volunteers. Under his supervision, more than 25 lakh lamps will be lit in the festival of lights.

To make the greatness of the festival of lights visible on the world stage, the volunteers of the university campus have decorated the swastika with 80 thousand lamps on the 10th ghat. This will send an auspicious message to the entire world. This will be the center of attraction.

Under the able guidance of the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Pratibha Goyal, 30 thousand volunteers made 16×16 lamp blocks at 55 ghats, on which 256 lamps were decorated. In these, a volunteer has been assigned the goal of lighting between 85 and 90 lamps.

‘Entry without a license will not be allowed’

Nodal Officer of Deepotsav Prof. Sant Sharan Mishra said that the work was completed by the university administration with the help of the government and district administration of Uttar Pradesh. The lamps of 55 ghats of Ram Nagari are protected by the police administration and security personnel of the university. Security has been beefed up at the ghats. Entry without identification is prohibited.
