Palwal News: Palwal Civil Hospital pharmacist arrested for accepting bribe of Rs 40,000

A bribe of Rs 75,000 was demanded in return for preparing a report in favor of the complainant.
Palwal News (Aaj Samaj) Palwal: The Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau team arrested Umar Mohammad, a pharmacist posted at Mangwalar District Civil Hospital, Palwal, red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 40,000. The Medical Board doctor demanded a bribe of Rs 75 through the accused pharmacist, following which the ACB team arrested the accused red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 40,000.

Investigations are being carried out in this regard. Giving information in this regard, the government spokesperson said that the Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau team received a complaint in this regard. The complainant said that the doctors of the Medical Board demand a bribe of Rs 75,000 in exchange for preparing a report in their (the complainant’s) favour. This bribe was said to have been demanded by the Medical Board doctor through Umar Mohammad, a pharmacist posted at the Civil Hospital.

Case registered against the accused

Confirming this matter, the Anti-Corruption Bureau team planned to nab the accused and managed to arrest him red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 40,000. This entire process was carried out impartially and with total transparency in front of the witnesses. A case has been registered against the accused at Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau Faridabad police station and he has been arrested. The Bureau Spokesperson, addressing the general public, said that if any official or employee demands bribe in return for carrying out any government work, immediately report this to the Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau toll-free numbers: 1800-180- 2022 and 1064.
