A horrific incident came to light in Sundargarh district of Odisha on Tuesday night. Here there was a violent confrontation over a love story, in which five people, including three women, died and four were injured. After the incident became known, panic spread in the area. Once the information was received, police officers arrived at the scene and took stock. The police took the body into custody and began investigating the case.
According to information, this incident occurred in the Sundergarh Sadar police station area. The reason for the incident was a love story. Eyewitnesses say that a person named Avinash Pawar, from the nomadic group of Maharashtra, had a dispute with the local people. Pawar had been married twice and had children from both marriages. The dispute with the local population over Avinash’s love affair escalated so much that violent clashes broke out.

At around 11:00 p.m., while the inhabitants of the nomadic community were sleeping, attackers armed with knives suddenly attacked them. Five people were killed in this attack, while Avinash and another woman were injured. After this, the attackers fled the scene and took Avinash’s second wife and two children hostage.
There was commotion at the scene after the incident. Information about the matter was immediately given to the police. Once the information was received, local officials arrived at the scene and began the search operation.
After receiving information about a massive clash between two groups of tribal communities, the police reached the spot and found that three women and two men were found dead on the spot. The people injured in this incident were taken to the hospital. A canine team and a forensic team have been deployed to the scene.
Police carry out raids in search of attackers
A team was formed under the leadership of the Sadar Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), which included five inspectors in charge (IIC) and four police platoons. This team is conducting raids to locate and arrest the attackers.
Western DIG and Sundargarh SP met the injured at Sundargarh district hospital to monitor the situation and investigate the matter. Police are carrying out raids to catch the attackers and rescue the hostages. He said some Indians who had come here for work could be involved in this incident.
